Project Style is honored and excited to participate in the 17th Annual “Chairish the Future 2011” auction! This wonderful gala is designed to benefit the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta.
The Furniture Bank was founded in 1998 in response to the lack of furniture resources for homeless people who secure housing. Before the Furniture Bank came along, although they had a roof over their head, many of these individuals and families were forced to eat and sleep on the floor. As a non-profit organization, the Furniture Bank is completely funded by generous donations from the public.
A select group of locally and nationally renowned artists (Project Style included!) were given the challenge of taking an old piece of furniture and turning it into a work of art! These pieces will then be auctioned off at the charity gala with all proceeds going to the Furniture Bank.
Here is a “before” picture of our future masterpiece….a 1950’s swivel chair. Our inspiration for the re-design of the chair was Audrey Hepburn, but with a funky twist!
Our fabric selection for this chair consists of PINK! No big surprise there! Here are some of the fabrics that will adorn our classic beauty:
The benefit will take place at 7pm on April 2nd at The Foundry at Puritan Mill in Atlanta. If you would like more information on the “Chairish the Future 2011” gala auction or would like to donate, please visit www.chairishthefuture.com
Stay tuned for photos of the transformation!
